The Phoenix Rises

Final project for my ceramics class is a phoenix. But I am calling it a "Dinosaur Dragon Goose Phoenix." It still needs to be painted and fired.

Thanks! I am pretty close to liking it, too. I wanted the wings to go a little differently, but they dried too fast. My teacher walked by it twice and all she said was, "wow it is really wild," and "You might want to just call it done!"
I have no idea if that means she likes it, or thinks it has no hope of getting better...

I love it! It's so neat. What kind of glaze are you putting on it? I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's done. If I were you I'd be proud to display it in my home!

Sadly, it exploded in the kiln. Yep - When my instructor opened the lid of the kiln it was in a million little pieces. I guess the phoenix had enough of the fire...
